Individual Therapy

A deeper understanding of your inner life. A more meaningful relationship with yourself and others.

Many people seek therapy because something in their lives feels stuck, painful, or confusing, and they’ve realized that short-term solutions or quick fixes are not enough. If you're feeling chronically dissatisfied, anxious, depressed, overwhelmed, or disconnected, you're not alone, and I can help you find a path forward with individual therapy.

My Approach

Individual therapy and Counseling Philadelphia

I specialize in psychodynamic psychotherapy and psychoanalysis, which means I focus on the deeper, unconscious aspects of your emotional life. This approach can help you understand not just what you’re feeling, but why, and how long-standing patterns, especially ones outside of your conscious awareness, may be shaping your self-esteem, relationships, work, and daily life.

Together, we will create a space where you can speak freely, explore deeply, and begin to listen more closely to the parts of yourself that have been silenced, ignored, or misunderstood.

Individual therapy

Who I Work With

I work with individuals navigating a wide range of difficulties, including:

  • Anxiety, panic, and obsessions or compulsions

  • Depression, hopelessness, and feeling stuck or numb

  • Trauma, including childhood abuse, sexual abuse, and dissociation

  • Shame, guilt, perfectionism, and persistent self-doubt

  • Identity concerns, including acculturation, self-esteem, and life transitions

  • Relationship issues, such as difficulty with trust, intimacy, or emotional closeness

  • Family conflict, including the lasting impact of emotionally unavailable or addicted caregivers

Many of the people I work with are thoughtful, self-reflective, and capable, yet they find themselves caught in patterns that are distressing, difficult to understand, or no longer serve them. Therapy provides a space to explore those patterns with curiosity and depth and to uncover the meaning beneath them, helping you create the changes you seek.

Why Psychodynamic Therapy?

Psychodynamic therapy isn't about quick fixes. It’s about developing insight, emotional freedom, and a more honest relationship with yourself and others. Over time, this kind of work can lead to lasting change, not just symptom relief but a richer, more connected inner and outer life.
